La Chama
La Chama is an original Venezuelan-inspired portrait created as a tribute to my country and cultural heritage. This piece is based on my personal experience and understanding of the Piaroa tribe, portraying a young Indigenous woman with simplicity, dignity, and respect. I intentionally kept the design restrained, drawing subtle influence from colonial-era elements while honoring traditional forms of dress. The basket of fruit and red facial paint act as cultural signifiers rather than embellishment. This ongoing project has been one of my most ambitious and meaningful works to date, and it continues to shape how I approach character art as a form of cultural storytelling
