Bruchaath and big goat (Collaboration Project)
This piece was inspired by Stefan Kopinski’s “Bruchaath and Big Goat” and brought to life through a collaborative workflow between two artists. Our goal was to translate the painterly brutality and imposing energy of the original artwork into a cinematic 3D interpretation. Under the mentorship of Miguel Ortega, we approached this project as if it were part of a production pipeline, combining strong design, believable materials, and narrative presence. Ryan Donnahoe focused on sculpting and hard-surface elements, while I handled grooming, texturing, and look development. We pushed for realism and storytelling through light, texture, and composition. This collaboration taught us how to manage complex multi-asset workflows, maintain artistic consistency between different areas of responsibility, and deliver a polished, cohesive final image. It was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience that deepened our understanding of cinematic character creation.
